Viessmann Vitodens 200-W B2HB 19, 68 in practice
The B2HB 19, 68 was the entry size of Viessmann Canada's B2HB generation: a gas-fired wall-mounted condensing boiler with a modulating MatriX cylinder burner and Inox-Radial stainless steel heat exchanger. Its printed CSA input range is 12-68 MBH (3.5-20 kW) on natural gas and liquid propane, with an output of 11-64 MBH (3.2-19 kW) at 140°F / 120°F supply and return, and 95.0% AFUE.
At 110 lb (50 kg) with 1.02 USG of boiler water and a 45 psig maximum operating pressure, it shares its chassis with the B2HB 26, 94 and 35, 125 — 17¾ in wide, 15.7 in deep and 41 in high (450 x 400 x 1040 mm). The technical data manual states the 19/68 must not be common-vented with any other appliance, and that high-altitude installation at 10,000 ft carries a 21% input derate for the 19 to 199 range.
Best suited to
- Owners of existing B2HB 19/68 units looking up printed ratings and manuals
- Small residential loads whose heat-loss calculation fits the 12-68 MBH input range
- Retrofit projects comparing the B2HB generation against the current B2HE
