It is still listed as a current condensing boiler on the Canadian catalog ('Efficiency up to 93% AFUE', cascade up to 8 boilers, common vent up to 4) even though the US catalog now lists the GB162 under discontinued boilers.
Series facts
Bosch's CA product page states 'Efficiency up to 93% AFUE'. The service-manual appendix prints AFUE at 80/180 °F of 93.8 (NG) / 93.9 (LP) for the 80 kW model; the 100 kW model lists BTS 2000 figures (96.1 part load, 90.8 full load) instead of an AFUE row.
The GB162 carries the Buderus name into the current Canadian condensing catalog: Bosch's CA product page describes a wall-hung boiler that 'can be used individually in a residence or commercial operation' and is especially suited to cascades of two to four boilers, expandable to eight units with common venting of up to four. Official CA-served manuals name the product 'Logamax plus GB162-80 kW / GB162-100 kW' — two North American sizes only, from the European Logamax plus GB162 family.
One market-status note matters to Canadian buyers: the same GB162 that remains a current CA catalog product is listed on the US site under 'Discontinued Products > Discontinued Boilers', and the US condensing catalog no longer includes it. The CA pages carry no discontinued marker and the CA manual library still serves the GB162 installation, service and accessory manuals, so Canadian availability is decided by Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. at purchase time.
The GB162 runs a UBA 3 burner control with the BC10 basic controller.
