IBC SFC-1 F001 — High heat exchanger temperature during central heating demand
F001
The controller detected the heat exchanger temperature rising too high while the combi was heating the central-heating circuit. The unit stops to protect the heat exchanger.

Why a code is not a diagnosis
The cause is usually poor heat removal from the heating coil: air trapped in the coil, an internal pump that is not running, low flow, or combustion set too high. The code does not distinguish these.
Safe things to observe
- Note the code and whether the radiators or in-floor loops are warm.
- Check the system pressure gauge; a very low reading points to a low-water or leak problem.
- Check that zone valves or pumps appear to open when heating is called.
Do not
- Do not keep resetting while the system may be air-bound or low on water.
- Do not open or adjust the appliance.
