IBC SL 26-260 G3 in practice

The SL 26-260 G3 is a wall-hung condensing boiler rated 26–260 MBH CSA input (7.6–76.2 kW) with 24.9–239 MBH output (7.31–70.0 kW) at 95% AFUE. It shares the commercial SL G3 chassis, V-10 touchscreen controller and BACnet connectivity with the larger SL 40-399 G3, and IBC covers both in the commercial I&O manual 120-270E12.

At 162 lb (74 kg) and with 1 1/2" NPT-M water connections, the 260 is the lighter of the two commercial models and vents in 3" Schedule 40 or rigid PPs to 200 equivalent feet per side, with direct-vent or indoor air supply. Its pressure vessel holds 4.64 USG (17.6 L), the maximum boiler flow is 25 USgpm (95 Lpm) and it is rated 30 psig maximum operating pressure with a 30 psig relief valve supplied.

IBC's commercial feature set applies: up to 24-boiler networks and 9.5 MMBtu/h without additional controls, up to four zone pumps, DDC 0-10 VDC or 4-20 mA, MFZ moisture management, reverse-flow detection and an up-to-10-year commercial heat-exchanger warranty. The 260 is heating-only; IBC lists DHW opt-out priority for multi-boiler systems rather than an integrated DHW coil.

Best suited to

  • Light-commercial buildings and large homes whose load fits 24.9–239 MBH output
  • Multi-boiler plants starting with one SL 26-260 G3 and expanding up to a 24-boiler network
  • Mechanical rooms where 3" venting to 200 equivalent feet per side is available
