Ignition failure occurred (failure to prove flame after 3 ignition attempts). Possible causes/actions: incorrect spark igniter gap (3/16 to 1/4 inch) or faulty spark igniter; spark cable disconnected (verify high voltage cable at spark generator and igniter, and green ground wire at igniter quick-connect tab); blocked venting (check exhaust vent, air-inlet, combustion blower, gas valve venturi, heat exchanger); blocked condensate drain (clean trap, inspect drain); insufficient gas line pressure (ensure manual gas shutoff valve open, see Section 9.0); flame rod disconnected (verify signal wire at flame rod and Sola controller); no 120VAC to spark generator (check wiring from Sola controller; measure J5-6 to ground during trial for ignition); faulty spark generator (check for arc at observation port; if 120VAC present and no spark, replace); no 24VAC to gas valve (check wiring harness, measure J5-2 to J4-10 during trial, replace Sola controller if absent); faulty gas valve (audible click when switching).
