Viessmann Vitodens 200-W B2HE-199
The Vitodens 200-W B2HE-199 is the largest model of Viessmann Canada's B2HE series: 14 to 199 MBH input at 95% AFUE, with the widest modulation range in the line and the flagship 7-inch touchscreen control.

Viessmann Vitodens 200-W B2HE-199 in practice
The B2HE-199 tops the series at 199 MBH input (58.3 kW) with a 14 MBH minimum fire, giving it the widest published firing range in the B2HE line — the range behind Viessmann's up to 14:1 turndown claim. It is the B2HE for large houses and small multi-suite buildings that still fit a single wall-hung boiler.
It is heating-only, like every B2HE model, with domestic hot water handled separately through an indirect tank. Weight is 179 lb (81 kg) in the 17.75 x 21.75 x 39 inch cabinet shared with the 150, and the 7-inch colour touchscreen with up to four heating circuits comes as standard.
For BC projects the question is whether the calculated load needs 199 MBH at all: below roughly 150 MBH the 150 or 120 condenses more often because their minimum fires are no higher — and the 120's is lower at 8.5 MBH.
Best suited to
- Large detached homes and small multi-suite buildings up to about 199 MBH
- Projects wanting the B2HE platform's full modulation range and control suite
- High-load homes with multiple zones and a substantial indirect tank

Frequently asked questions
What is the firing range of the B2HE-199?
From 14 to 199 MBH input on natural gas (4.1 to 58.3 kW), per Viessmann Canada — the widest range in the B2HE series and the basis of the up to 14:1 turndown claim.
Is the B2HE-199 the same size as the B2HE-150?
Yes. Both weigh 179 lb (81 kg) and share the 17.75 x 21.75 x 39 inch cabinet; the 199 simply fires higher at the top of its range.
Could the B2HE-199 be too large for my house?
Possibly. If the heat-loss calculation fits inside a smaller model, the 199's 14 MBH minimum fire means it cycles more in mild weather. Sizing should always follow the calculated load, not square footage.
