Viessmann Vitodens 200-W (B2HE)

The Vitodens 200-W B2HE is the newest member of Viessmann's flagship 200-W family: a gas-fired wall-mounted condensing boiler with a modulating MatriX-Plus cylinder burner and an Inox-Radial stainless steel heat exchanger. Inputs run from 8.5 to 199 MBH across the four models, and Viessmann Canada rates all of them 95% AFUE while citing 'up to 98% at full modulation'.

The B2HE adds a 7-inch colour touchscreen that doubles as boiler and system control, with connections for up to four heating circuits, integrated WiFi for the ViCare app, and a high-efficiency ECM pump among its near-boiler components. The Lambda Pro Plus combustion management system adjusts to gas quality and vent length automatically, and commissioning runs from an on-board assistant or the ViGuide app.

For Lower Mainland homes the practical figures are the 8.5 MBH minimum fire on the 85 and 120 models (14 MBH on the 150 and 199), zero clearance to combustibles, venting up to about 198 ft (60 m) and high-altitude operation to 10,000 ft (3,000 m) with electronic adjustment. All four B2HE models are heating-only; the Canadian page lists no combi version, so domestic hot water is handled separately, typically with an indirect tank.
