Why a code is not a diagnosis
The underlying cause is the same family as fault F002: air in the coil, pump or flow trouble, fouling, or combustion set too high. The notification does not identify which.
Safe things to observe
- Note the notification and whether heating or hot water is still adequate.
- Check the system pressure gauge if fitted.
- If the notification persists, book a service visit.
Do not
- Do not keep the unit running for weeks in a limited state without a check.
How professional service helps
- A technician checks for air in the coil, pump operation, fuel conversion and combustion readings, and cleans the heat exchanger if fouled.
