IBC SL G3 “Unoccupied” display message
Unoccupied
The manual lists this warning when the Occupied box in the controller's User Menu has been unchecked. The boiler is telling you it will not fire for space heating because it believes the building is unoccupied.
Applies to

Why a code is not a diagnosis
This is usually a setting rather than a fault: someone switched the schedule to Unoccupied, or the setting was never turned on after a service or a power event. If the house is cold and this message shows, the Occupied setting is the first thing to check.
Safe things to observe
- Open the controller's User Menu and check whether the Occupied box is ticked, as the manual describes.
- If you did not change the setting and it keeps reverting, mention it when you call for service.
- Note that this warning is about space heating; hot-water production may still operate depending on how the boiler is configured.
Do not
- Do not assume the boiler is broken; check the Occupied setting first.
How professional service helps
- A technician or the homeowner re-enables the Occupied setting per the controller manual.
- If the setting does not hold, the controller's clock/schedule or firmware is checked.
