IBC DC 33-160 in practice
The DC 33-160 was the top size of IBC's discontinued DC combi line, covering 33–160 MBH CSA input (9.7–46.9 kW) for 30.4–140 MBH output (8.9–41.0 kW) at 94% AFUE. It uses the line's 43.5 psig space-heating coil and 150 psig DHW coil and draws 164 W at full fire with the internal pump — the highest in the range.
Its domestic-hot-water row needs a caveat: the DC specification table prints the DHW input as 33–124 MBH even though the model's heating input is 33–160 MBH and the DHW kW cell prints 9.7–36.3 kW, so the MBH cell appears to carry over the DC 33-124 figure. Boilers.ca records the page as printed and flags the discrepancy.
The 33-160 weighs 105 lb (48 kg), holds 0.5 USG (1.9 L) and allows a 4.0 USgpm maximum DHW flow with activation at 0.5 USgpm. It is covered by DC I&O manual 120-183-A-R11. IBC's November 2019 service notice also applies: it covers a heat-exchanger gasket upgrade for DC 33-160 units built July 2014–November 2016, so owners should check the serial range with a licensed contractor.
