NTI Trinity Lx150

The NTI Trinity Lx150 is the entry size of the Lx fire-tube line: 25 to 150 MBH input on natural gas (145 MBH maximum on LP) at 93.5% AFUE, in a 100 lb floor-standing unit that can also use the wall-hung kits NTI includes for the Lx200–400.

NTI Trinity Lx150 in practice

The Lx150 is the smallest Trinity Lx and the residential-friendly end of NTI's fire-tube range, firing 25 to 150 MBH on natural gas with the LP maximum capped at 145 MBH. NTI rates it 93.5% AFUE on the product page, it weighs 100 lb, and its 3" venting runs to 105 ft on natural gas but only 50 ft on LP.

For a larger BC home or small commercial space whose heat-loss calculation sits above the residential wall-hung class, the Lx150 is the lightest entry into the Lx line. The trade-offs to plan around are its floor-standing footprint (or wall-hung kit, which NTI includes for the Lx200–400 range) and the shorter LP vent run, which matters for propane-heated buildings.

Best suited to

  • Larger homes and light-commercial spaces with loads above 150 MBH-class wall boilers
  • Projects wanting the easy-to-clean Lx fire-tube heat exchanger at the smallest size
  • NG installations able to run 3" venting up to 105 ft per side

Frequently asked questions

Can the Lx150 run on propane?

Yes, but NTI caps the LP input at 145 MBH (against 150 MBH on natural gas) and limits the 3" LP vent run to 50 ft instead of 105 ft.

Is the Lx150 wall-hung?

It is a floor-standing boiler. NTI's page introduction says sizes up to 399 MBH can also be mounted wall-hung, and the features list says the wall-hung kit is included for the Lx200–400.

What is the Lx150's efficiency?

93.5% AFUE per the NTI product page, the same figure NTI publishes for the Lx200.
