NTI Trinity Lx600 in practice

The Lx600 takes the Lx platform to 600 MBH on the same 4" venting used by the 300 through 600 sizes, with a 100 ft maximum run per side. It weighs 380 lb, connects on 2" NPT female water with a 1" NPT male gas connection, and shares the fire-tube heat exchanger, touchscreen cascade control and service-friendly layout of the line.

Its 120 MBH minimum fire makes it a plant boiler in practice: light-commercial buildings, larger multi-suite hydronic systems and similar loads. NTI's page prints 94% AFUE and the I&O manual rates the 500-and-up sizes by combustion (95%) and thermal (94%) efficiency, so Boilers.ca repeats both treatments rather than choosing one.

Best suited to

  • Light-commercial plants with loads between 120 and 600 MBH
  • Buildings wanting 600 MBH capacity while staying on 4" venting
  • Multi-suite or strata hydronic systems with cascade expansion plans

Frequently asked questions

What venting does the Lx600 need?

4" pipe to a 100 ft maximum equivalent run per side, per the NTI product page — the same venting class as the Lx300, Lx400 and Lx500.

How does the Lx600 compare with the Lx500?

Input rises from 500 to 600 MBH and weight from 320 to 380 lb; the gas connection steps from 3/4" NPT male to 1" NPT male, while water connections (2" NPT female) and 4" venting stay the same.

Is the Lx600 a combi?

No. The Lx line is heating-only; domestic hot water is produced separately, typically by a dedicated system sized to the building's demand.
