Triangle Tube Prestige Solo 80
The Prestige Solo 80 is the smallest of the current-generation Prestige Solo sizes, firing 16 to 80 MBH at 95% AFUE in the compact 103 lb fire-tube cabinet — the size that replaced the old Solo 60 when the line was updated. Discontinued with the November 3, 2025 cessation.

Triangle Tube Prestige Solo 80 in practice
The Solo 80 is the entry point of the Prestige Solo line: 16 to 80 MBH of input, rated 95% AFUE with a 5.0:1 turndown, in the smallest cabinet the line shares with the Solo 110 — 19 3/4" wide by 36 9/16" tall, 103 lb — with 1" supply/return connections, a 1/2" gas connection and 3" vent/air piping. Triangle Tube's 2019 marketing describes the updated line as replacing the old Solo 60 with this 80-size model.
Because it fires down to 16 MBH, the Solo 80 tracks low loads in mild weather better than any larger Prestige — the property that matters most when a heat-loss calculation lands near or below the 80 MBH ceiling. Triangle Tube ceased operations November 3, 2025; this model is documented for the installed base.
Best suited to
- Homes whose room-by-room heat-loss calculation fits below 80 MBH of input
- Owners of the older PT60-size installations stepping up one generation
- Compact wall-hung installs that want the lightest Prestige cabinet (103 lb)

Frequently asked questions
Is the Prestige Solo 80 large enough for a whole house?
That depends on the heat-loss calculation, not floor area. The Solo 80 caps input at 80 MBH (74 MBH DOE capacity, 64 MBH net AHRI rating), so it suits homes whose calculated design load fits comfortably below that ceiling.
Does the Solo 80 vent in 2" pipe?
The product page lists a 3" vent/air diameter for the Solo 80. Venting materials, lengths and terminations are set out in the Prestige Vent Supplement and the installation manual, which govern the actual run.
