Navien NCB-190/080H
The Navien NCB-190/080H steps the NCB-H combi up to 11 to 80 MBH heating input with the same 160,000 BTU/h DHW input as the 060H, rated 95.0% AFUE in the identical 87 lb cabinet.

Input is gas energy consumed; output is heat delivered. Never size from input alone.
Navien NCB-190/080H in practice
The NCB-190/080H differs from the NCB-190/060H only at the top of the heating range: minimum input stays at 11 MBH while the ceiling rises from 60 to 80 MBH, and the domestic hot water side is unchanged at 10,700 to 160,000 BTU/h. For a home whose calculated load outgrows the 060H, the 080H adds headroom without changing the footprint.
It keeps the same 87 lb cabinet at 17.3 x 29.3 x 12.8 in, the same dual stainless heat exchanger arrangement, 95.0% AFUE rating and 2" or 3" venting to 65 or 150 equivalent feet. Both 190-class models fire down to 11 MBH, so in mild Lower Mainland weather the boiler can track low demand instead of short-cycling.
Best suited to
- Detached homes whose heat-loss calculation falls between the 060H and the 110H
- Homes that want the 190-class DHW rating with a little more heating ceiling
- Projects where the smallest NCB-H cabinet must carry an 80 MBH load

Frequently asked questions
How does the NCB-190/080H compare with the NCB-190/060H?
They are the same boiler below the maximum: both fire down to 11 MBH, share the 87 lb cabinet and 95.0% AFUE rating, and both draw up to 160,000 BTU/h for DHW. The 080H's heating ceiling is 80 MBH against 60 MBH on the 060H.
What DHW input does the NCB-190/080H provide?
Navien's installation manual lists 10,700 to 160,000 BTU/h of DHW input for the NCB-190/080H, the same range as the NCB-190/060H.
Can the NCB-190/080H run on propane?
Yes. The NCB-H series is listed for natural gas or propane with separate ratings per fuel; conversion and setup are licensed gas-fitting work.
