Lochinvar Noble NKB199 in practice
The NKB199 is the largest Noble heating boiler: 19.9 to 199 MBH of input with 185 MBH of DOE heating capacity and a 161 MBH AHRI net rating at 95.0% AFUE. Its 2.7-gallon water content is the highest in the NKB range, and its territory is large homes and small multi-suite buildings whose heat-loss calculation approaches 200 MBH.
It keeps the 1" sweat water connections of the NKB line (combi models use NPT) with a 1/2" gas connection. The 2" venting option tightens to 50 equivalent feet at the 199 size while 3" remains at 100, so longer routes run in 3". Heating-only, it is driven with an indirect tank through the SMART CONTROL, and Lochinvar sells it in Canada under the Epic name per its residential page.
