Triangle Tube Instinct 110S (floor)
The Instinct 110S floor version (INSFS110S) delivers the same 13.75 to 110 MBH, 95% AFUE ratings as the wall 110S in a free-standing 22 x 41 x 22-inch cabinet at 145 lb. Discontinued with the November 3, 2025 cessation.

Triangle Tube Instinct 110S (floor) in practice
The floor-mounted Instinct solos carry the same published ratings as their wall counterparts — the INSFS110S fires 13,750 to 110,000 BTU/h at 95% AFUE with an 8:1 turndown, 102 MBH DOE capacity and 89 MBH net AHRI. What changes is the form factor: a 22"-wide by 41"-tall by 22"-deep floor cabinet weighing 145 lb, which suits basements and mechanical rooms where wall structure is not available.
The floor pages add a couple of extras: the supply/return connection is 1" MNPT, or 1 1/4" FPT when the optional 548 Caleffi Separator is used (per the page footnote), and the product copy mentions cascade capability of up to six boilers for the floor line. Venting matches the wall version: 33 ft in 2" and 100 ft in 3". Triangle Tube ceased operations November 3, 2025; this model is documented for the installed base.
Best suited to
- Basement plants where the boiler stands on the floor rather than hanging
- Heating-only homes that want the Instinct ratings in a 22-inch-square footprint
- Multi-boiler rooms planning floor-line cascades of up to six units

Frequently asked questions
What is different about the floor-mounted Instinct 110S?
Ratings are identical to the wall INS110S — 13.75 to 110 MBH at 95% AFUE — but the INSFS110S stands on the floor in a 22 x 41 x 22-inch, 145 lb cabinet instead of hanging on a wall. Its installation manual is the separate floor doc 242194.
Can the floor 110S use an indirect tank?
Yes. It is a heating-only solo, and Triangle Tube marketed the Instinct solos for use with indirect tanks such as the Smart 316. The product copy also lists the 548 Caleffi Separator, which changes the supply/return connection size to 1 1/4" FPT.
