The Vitodens 100-W B1HE-199 is the largest heating-only model in Viessmann Canada's 100-W series: 19.9 to 199 MBH input at 95% AFUE in the 179 lb cabinet, sized for big homes and heavy indirect-tank demand.

Viessmann Vitodens 100-W B1HE-199 in practice
The B1HE-199 tops the heating-only side of the Vitodens 100-W range at 199 MBH input (58.3 kW), with a minimum fire of 19.9 MBH. It is the model a heat-loss calculation reaches for when a large house, several zones or a fast-recovery indirect tank push the load beyond the 150.
Like every B1HE model it is heating-only with domestic hot water from an indirect tank, and it shares the current generation's MatriX-Plus cylinder burner, Inox-Radial stainless heat exchanger and 95% AFUE rating. Weight is 179 lb (81 kg) in the 39-inch-tall cabinet shared with the 150.
Its 19.9 MBH minimum fire is the highest in the 100-W line, so the 199 is only the right choice when the calculated load genuinely needs the top of its range; in a home that would rarely exceed 120 MBH, the smaller models condense more often in mild weather.
Best suited to
- Large detached homes and small multi-suite buildings up to about 199 MBH
- Homes with high simultaneous hot-water demand through an indirect tank
- Projects where one wall-hung boiler must cover several heating zones

Frequently asked questions
What is the firing range of the B1HE-199?
From 19.9 to 199 MBH input on natural gas (5.8 to 58.3 kW), per Viessmann Canada. On propane the minimum inputs published in the technical data manual are higher.
Is the B1HE-199 the same size as the B1HE-150?
Yes. Both weigh 179 lb (81 kg) and measure 17.75 x 21.75 x 39 inches (450 x 550 x 989 mm); only the input range differs.
When should I not choose the 199?
When the heat-loss calculation fits comfortably inside a smaller model. Oversizing raises the minimum fire rate to 19.9 MBH and reduces the condensing time a modulating boiler is meant to deliver.
