Burnham Alpine ALP150B
The Burnham Alpine ALP150B is the mid-size Alpine: 30 to 150 MBH input at 95.0% AFUE with 136 MBH DOE heating capacity and a 118 MBH net AHRI rating, wall-hung or floor-standing at 182 lb, vented in 3" pipe to 135 ft intake / 100 ft vent.

Burnham Alpine ALP150B in practice
The ALP150B covers the middle of the Alpine range at 30–150 MBH input, printing 136 MBH DOE heating capacity and a 118 MBH net AHRI water rating at 95.0% AFUE (Table 1-5, Alpine I&O Manual 103448-12). As with every Alpine size it is a condensing boiler with a stainless steel coil heat exchanger, outdoor-reset Sage2.X control and 5:1 modulation on identical NG/LP inputs.
It is wall-hung or floor-standing, ships at 182 lb, and keeps the family's 1/2" FPT gas and 1" FPT supply/return connections with a 160 psi MAWP rating and 30 psi standard relief. Venting is 3" only — CPVC/PVC to 135 ft maximum equivalent intake and 100 ft vent, with no 2" option on this size. Elevation ratings to 2,000 ft apply, with a 2.5% derate per 1,000 ft above; a licensed contractor handles installation and gas work.
Best suited to
- Larger detached homes whose heat-loss calculation lands between 105 and 150 MBH
- Homes pairing the boiler with an indirect tank that adds recovery demand
- Projects with a 3" vent route up to 100 ft (vent side) or 135 ft (intake)
