95.0% AFUE printed for every ALP080B–ALP285B model in the Alpine I&O ratings table (Doc 103448-12); the commercial ALP399C prints 94.1% thermal efficiency instead of an AFUE (Doc 106307-03). The official product page lists 95% AFUE with ENERGY STAR certification.

About the Burnham Alpine

The Alpine is the high-efficiency gas boiler line of the Burnham brand, built and documented by U.S. Boiler Company at usboiler.net. Every ALP080B–ALP285B residential model prints 95.0% AFUE in the Alpine I&O ratings table (Doc 103448-12, 8/24): condensing stainless steel coil heat exchangers (ASME Section IV), outdoor-reset Sage2.X touchscreen controls, inputs identical on natural gas and propane, and minimum/maximum inputs that give 5:1 modulation. ALP080B–ALP210B hang on a wall or sit on the floor; ALP285B is floor-only.

The line also extends to commercial sizes: the ALP399C (with the ALP500C–ALP800C behind it) is documented in the Alpine Commercial I&O (Doc 106307-03) and prints a 94.1% thermal efficiency rather than an AFUE. Ratings apply sea level–2,000 ft, with the I&O manual's altitude rules above that (2.5% derate per 1,000 ft for ALP080B–ALP210B; ALP285B rated to 7,800 ft; high-altitude factory builds to 10,000 ft; the 399C rated to 10,100 ft). Venting is Category IV direct vent in PVC/CPVC, polypropylene or stainless steel with two-pipe and concentric terminations, at 60–135 ft maximum equivalent lengths by model.

U.S. Boiler Company publishes the Alpine manuals publicly, and Boilers.ca links the Alpine installation and operation manual here for owners and technicians. Boilers.ca documents the Alpine at model level — ALP080B, ALP105B, ALP150B, ALP210B, ALP285B and ALP399C — with ratings per the official tables. No official Canadian-sales statement was found, so canadianStatus stays 'unknown', even though Alpine-era units are installed in Canada (secondary evidence, not cited on this page).

Frequently asked questions

Is the Burnham Alpine available in Canada?

No official Canadian-sales statement was found on the official pages, and the distributor finder U.S. Boiler Company publishes is US-oriented, so canadianStatus is recorded as 'unknown'. Boilers.ca documents the series and its models for information and service planning.

What efficiencies does the Alpine print?

95.0% AFUE for every residential size (ALP080B–ALP285B) per the Alpine I&O ratings table; the commercial ALP399C prints 94.1% thermal efficiency in the Alpine Commercial I&O. The product page states 95% AFUE with ENERGY STAR certification.

Where is the Alpine manual published?

U.S. Boiler Company publishes Alpine literature publicly on its Technical Literature page; Boilers.ca links the Alpine installation and operation manual (Doc 103448-12) for the ALP080B–ALP285B models and cites the Alpine Commercial I&O (Doc 106307-03) for the 399C. Installation and gas/venting work belong with a licensed contractor.
