The WHB085 is the second rung of the Knight wall-hung ladder: minimum fire rises only slightly to 8.5 MBH while the ceiling moves from 55 to 85 MBH, and DOE heating capacity follows to 79 MBH with a 69 MBH AHRI net rating. A heat-loss calculation that outgrows the WHB055 points here without giving up the low minimum fire.
It stays a heating-only boiler on 1" heating connections with a 1/2" gas connection and 2.2 gallons of water content, so domestic hot water is produced by an indirect tank such as Lochinvar's Squire. The 085 vents in 2" pipe to 50 equivalent feet or 3" to 100 — the 2" reach shrinks as the size grows, which matters when the vent route is long.
