Rinnai IP120199C
The Rinnai IP120199C lifts heating to 120 MBH of input while keeping the 199 MBH DHW side: 15 to 120 MBH central heating with 9.8 GPM maximum hot-water flow, in the heavier 76.1 lb small chassis.

Input is gas energy consumed; output is heat delivered. Never size from input alone.
Rinnai IP120199C in practice
The IP120199C is the first of the two larger small-chassis combis: central-heating input reaches 120,000 BTU/h and the DHW side fires to 199,000 BTU/h at up to 9.8 GPM (37 L/min). Like the IP150199C it uses the larger small-chassis heat exchanger (10.9 sq ft versus 9.3 on the 60-90 models) and holds 0.88 gal of CH water.
The I&O manual spec table lists this model at 76.1 lb (34.5 kg) while the product page prints 62 lb (28.1 kg) — the manual value is used here and the discrepancy is documented. Both 2" (75 ft) and 3" (160 ft) twin-pipe vent options are printed in the manual for this model.
It shares the 18.5 x 11.5 in small chassis with the rest of the range and the same 3/4" NPT gas and DHW connections with 1" NPT heating connections. The family efficiency claim is up to 96% AFUE; no per-model AFUE figure is printed in the manual.
Best suited to
- Homes whose heat-loss calculation reaches toward 120 MBH of input
- Households wanting the top 9.8 GPM DHW flow with heating headroom
- Replacement installs that must keep the small 18.5 x 11.5 in footprint

Frequently asked questions
How much does the IP120199C actually weigh?
The I&O manual spec table prints 76.1 lb (34.5 kg); the product page prints 62 lb (28.1 kg), which Boilers.ca flags as a discrepancy and does not repeat. The 120 and 150 models share the larger small-chassis heat exchanger and water content.
What DHW flow does it deliver?
9.8 GPM maximum (37 L/min) and 5.1 GPM at a 70°F temperature rise, per the I&O manual spec table, with DHW input to 199,000 BTU/h.
How does the IP120199C vent?
2" PVC/polypropylene twin pipe to 75 equivalent feet or 3" to 160 equivalent feet per the I&O manual, or the 3" x 5" concentric option.
