The DynaFlame is Camus' watertube family from 500,000 to 6 million BTU/hr offered in non-condensing, near-condensing or fully condensing modes, with a choice of copper/cu-ni or 439 stainless-steel heat exchangers, up to 5:1 turndown, and 80 model sizes documented from the official spec sheets.

About the DynaFlame Series

Camus calls the DynaFlame its 'leading edge' watertube line: models range from 500,000 BTU/hr up to 6 million BTU/hr, and all models are available in non-condensing, near-condensing or fully condensing modes. The primary heat exchanger is offered in copper/cu-ni (four-pass, cast bronze headers, gasket-less sealed, 160 psig, 250°F heating / 210°F DHW maximums) or welded 439-grade stainless steel (six-pass vertical cylindrical, 316L waterways, 160 psig, 210°F maximum outlet).

The official spec sheets split the line into three model generations, each with 16 printed sizes: the non-condensing 500–6004 generation (up to 85% thermal efficiency, 3:1 turndown, Category I/III venting), the near-condensing DFX 501–6014 generation (up to 88% thermal efficiency, 5:1 turndown, Category II/IV venting) and the condensing 502–6024 generation (up to 95% thermal efficiency, 5:1 turndown, Category II/IV venting). Heating (DFH) and domestic-hot-water (DFW) spec sheets exist for the non-condensing and condensing generations; the near-condensing sheet is heating-only. All print a 439 stainless-steel six-pass watertube heat exchanger at 160 psig, CSA certification, and per-size input/output, weight, vent-diameter and electrical rows that Boilers.ca reproduces at model level.

Condensing models add a stainless-steel secondary heat exchanger. Ignition is direct up to 2.5 million BTU/hr and proven pilot on models 3 million BTU/hr and above; the vertical orientation allows multiple units to line up with minimal clearance. The control system is an advanced digital control with Modbus RTU and lead-lag sequencing to eight boilers. The current camus-hydronics.com catalogue card still truncates its efficiency sentence ('thermal efficiencies of up t…'), so the structured efficiency figure is taken from the official spec sheets instead.

Both, by design: Camus states every DynaFlame size is available in non-condensing, near-condensing or fully condensing modes. The official spec sheets rate the 500–6004 generation up to 85% thermal, the 501–6014 near-condensing generation up to 88%, and the 502–6024 condensing generation up to 95%.

What is the biggest DynaFlame?

The DynaFlame page prints models from 500,000 BTU/hr up to 6 million BTU/hr. The official spec-sheet families carry 500–6004 / 501–6014 / 502–6024 MBH designations, with the largest printed size at 6,000 MBTU/hr input.
