HTP EFT-285 in practice

The EFT-285 is one of the seven Elite FT heating boilers on HTP's retired Elite FT page. The official LP-387 technical specifications table prints 28,500 to 285,000 BTU/hr input, 262 MBH heating capacity, a 203 lb shipping weight, 6.1 gal of boiler water content and a 20" x 32.6" x 20.6" (W x H x D) wall-hung cabinet with 1-1/4" copper SWT supply/return and 1" NPTF gas inlet. For the 285/399 sizes the LP-657 manual for units manufactured on/after 10/30/17 with 10:1 turndown prints the ${BTU(d.min)}-${BTU(d.max)} range used here; LP-387's table prints the earlier 5:1-generation ranges.

The Elite FT is a stainless steel vertical fire-tube, down-fired condensing boiler with a 10:1 turndown, the 926 SIT control (outdoor reset, DHW indirect priority, cascade up to eight boilers, 0-10V BMS input) and Category IV sealed-combustion venting in PVC, CPVC, polypropylene or stainless steel. The retired page prints 'up to a 95.1% AFUE rating with up to a 10 to 1 turndown ratio' and SCAQMD Rule 1146.2 compliance; the 5:1 submittal prints up to 96.3% AFUE for the smaller models. The heat exchanger carries a 12-year limited warranty.

The Elite FT line is retired: HTP's discontinued-products index lists 'Elite FT Heating Boiler' and the EFT documents page remains as archived support. Boilers.ca records it with productStatus 'discontinued' and canadianStatus 'unknown'; no official Canadian sales statement was found. Service an installed unit with a licensed contractor against LP-387 or LP-657.
