NTI Trinity TFTN600

The NTI Trinity TFTN600 lifts the floor-mounted TFTN to a 600 MBH ceiling: 60 to 600 MBH input at 97.8% thermal efficiency, a 585 MBH heating capacity and a 509 MBH Net AHRI rating, sharing the 575 lb with-water weight and 2" water connections of the TFTN500.

NTI Trinity TFTN600 in practice

The TFTN600 runs 60 to 600 MBH input at 97.8% thermal efficiency with a heating capacity of 585 MBH and a Net AHRI rating of 509 MBH. It shares the TFTN500's floor chassis — 575 lb with water, 12.5 gallons of water content — and its 2" male NPT water connections, 1" male NPT gas connection and 4" venting to 150 ft per side.

The step from the 500 to the 600 buys a 100 MBH higher ceiling for a thermal-efficiency change of only two tenths of a point (98% down to 97.8%), with no change in weight, water content, connections or venting. In practice the choice is the plant-demand calculation: buildings whose load or recovery demand approaches 600 MBH justify the larger model, while loads inside the 500's range gain nothing but a higher minimum fire from stepping up.

Best suited to

  • Commercial hydronic plants whose load calculation approaches 600 MBH
  • Buildings wanting the TFTN600's ceiling without moving to the 725's larger connections
  • Boiler rooms able to keep the shared 4" venting and 2" water plan of the 500/600 class

Frequently asked questions

How does the TFTN600 compare with the TFTN500?

Input rises from 50–500 to 60–600 MBH, heating capacity from 489 to 585 MBH and the Net AHRI rating from 425 to 509 MBH, while thermal efficiency eases from 98% to 97.8%. Weight, water content, connections and venting are unchanged.

What does the TFTN600 weigh?

575 lb with water per the NTI product page — the same as the TFTN500 — with 12.5 gallons of water content.

Can the TFTN600 run on propane?

Yes. NTI publishes LP conversion instructions for the TFTN500–850 size group; conversion is a licensed gas-fitter task following NTI's procedure.
